[net.audio] JSE-1s

Open Request to Bill Mitchell:

		AIRHEAD MODE ON...

JSE-1s? JSE-1s? You gotta pair of JSE-1s? Oh Wow, man! Sensible Sound is just
freaked out about those muthuhs, man! Whadda ya think, huh? huh? huh? I really
wanna know, man...

		AIRHEAD MODE OFF...

Sorry, It's late and I'm SOO tired...But the JSE speakers (for all of you that
don't know about them, they use a seemingly crazy 80-100dB/octave crossover
slope between drivers to supposedly minimize interactions and are suprisingly
inexpensive) have been really hyped by the above rag with apparently many
satisfied purchasers to back them up. I and I'm sure the rest of this net
would like to know what you think of the JSEs, soundwise and design philosophy.

I'd listen to these things myself, but esoteric audio doesn't exist in
the Forests of Oregon. San Francisco or Tarzana, CA are the closest places
around these parts...

100dB per octave? Gawd! doesn't the series resistance of the inductors kill
your damping factor? The wiring must look like Bonneville power...

The wandering squash,
