[net.audio] JSE vs Vandersteen speakers

In their review of the JSE-1 speakers, the $ensible Sound's staff compared them
to the Vandersteen 2C's, which had been their "reference" (read preferred and
best value for the money) speakers. They found the JSE's to have more definition
and better stereo imaging in the midrange (as I mentioned, I've yet to see any
speaker in the 2K/pair or so price class with the imaging of the JSE's - some
say the Quad ESL-63's are better, but I can't comment on that without hearing
the Quads, and a pair of Quads will set you back $3K or so) than the Vandersteen
model, without the "harshness" that Vandersteen 2C's have in the lower midrange.
