"The problem's plain to see, too much technology"

Just because the radio station interfering with your stero is speaking
Russian doesn't mean it's in Russia! The Voice of America has several sites
in California running mucho megawatts. Their target area is the Pacific and
Far East.

The easiest way to determine if the VOA is the source of your problem
is to listen to the interference around the beginning of each hour. The VOA
uses "Yanky Doodle Dandy" as signon music. The practice of using signon
music hearlds from the days when shortwave radios had very poor dial
calibrations. The use of a familiar tune allowed people to find the desired
station more easily.

As far as getting the VOA to quit interfering with your stereo,
GOOD LUCK!
