The schematic for my Technics SL-P7 shows one DAC whose output is
switched between channels with analog switches. An op amp generates a
delay on one of the channels.

I wish they hadn't bothered. As other folks have already pointed out,
the delay can be eliminated by sitting a bit closer to the appropriate
speaker. (My calculation is about 1/3 inch, provided I haven't forgotten
the speed of sound). Assuming the delay proves objectionable, moving
your ears or the speaker seems a cleaner solution than inserting a
funny capacitor-plus-op-amp circuit.--Steve
