[net.audio] Ortofon cartridges and fixing high-mass tonearms

I currently have an Ortofon Concorde 30 cartridge installed in my
turntable. The reason (or part of it at least) I selected this
cartridge is because it's an integrated headshell/cartridge with
considerably lower mass than a conventional design, and thus
compensates for my medium-to-high mass tonearm. Now, my stylus needs
to be replaced, a new one will cost $100, and I am wondering whether I
should switch cartridges instead.

I don't want to switch turntables; my turntable works just fine otherwise.
Also, being on a student (albeit co-op) budget, I don't need the extra
cost right now.

I'd appreciate any comments you net-people can offer me (by mail,
please; I'll summarize if I'm flooded with replies (I love mail :-)).
