This is directed to Greg of this newsgroup. I tried to mail this article, but wasn't able. So, I decided to post it to the newsgroup in general. I would have to agree that if the cost of the CD isn't reduced from it's present cost, it will not replace the LP. I just recently purchased my CD player and have only collected six (6) CD's. The cost of the six CD's is nearly $100.00! (I try to purchase a CD every time I get paid which is every two weeks on Thurs.) I have been advised by other people in the LA area that Tower Records in Hollywood has the largest selection of CD's around. So far they are right. They also happen to be the cheapest (usually between $11.99 and $18.99 but typically $14.99). I belong to a record club and their CD's are usually $16.99. I also belong to Fedco, theirs typically $15.99. Well we shall see where the CD leads. Remember quadraphonics? Michael N. Washington trwrb!trwrba!mnw Fcc: carbon --------
