Dear Net.Ann.Landers, In an effort to allow myself some flexibility as to which set of remote speakers I am listening to I decided to build myself a simple patch panel. Unfortunately the simplest decision of the project has caused the biggest controversy (true to Murphy's Law). What type of connectors do I use to patch the input to the output (with the input being 12 or 14 guage wire coming from the remote speaker terminals on my receiver and the output being equivalent sized wire running to one pair of several remote speakers)? I have had every- thing recommended to me from a pair of banana plugs per channel to standard RCA plugs. All I want to do is switch between various pairs of remote speakers by unplugging a patch cord (or cords) from a line running to one pair of speakers and plugging it in to another line; simple but effective and efficient. Since I do not plan on having my current system forever I would like the panel to be able to handle the output from a 200 watt or so system. I know that you usually do not respond personally to letters from your readers but if you could make an exception in this case you probably would save alot of net.readers the pain of reading 1,000 solutions to this problem (ie. mail your responses to me and I will summarize if there is interest). Thank you. Signed, Dazed and Confused !hplabs!hp-pcd!dhk
