I bought a NAD 7140 about 2 months ago.
It is really nice. No regrets and no problems, yet.
I did my usual rigorous market research which consisted
of asking the person next to me what was good.

Although I have not had any problems yet I am concerned
that some will develop in the future. Before I bought
mine there was some bad mouthing of NAD reliablity on
the net (which I ignored). Also just recently a Tweeter
store in Rhode Island stopped carrying the NAD line
because too many people were returning stuff. Does
anyone know if all Tweeter stores have done the same?

I also bought a pair of Bose 601 speakers. These
are wonderful speakers.

I bought these toys at Tweeter. I do not know if
they are available from discount houses. I believe
that Tweeter will treat me well if the NAD becomes
a lemon.
	Price:
		NAD 7140 $450
		Bose 601 $750
		Monster Cable 20ft	$20

NAD 7140
	AM/FM receiver with 40 watts/channel
has inputs for a CD player
	has a great FM tuner
	look nice, no flashing lights
all the reviews that I read had only good things to say

Bose 601
Speakers that reflect part of the sound off the walls
Don't listen to them if you can't afford the price
( I have been eating a lot of peanut
		  butter sandwichs )
	Very realistic sound.
