Dear Notespeople, I am a musician (instrumentalist/composer) with ten years of experience on location and in the studio. I am classically trained (B.M. '76 Indiana Univ.), however most of my professional experience is in pop and jazz. The bass trombone scene here in N.Y. has been deteriorating for some time, and I have a family now, so I am in the process of changing careers. I am finishing up my Master's in Computer Science at the Courant Institute - NYU, and am looking for a job. I am particularly interested in finding a job in which my musical training and experience would be valuable. Companies involved in digital music, record companies, manufacturers of synthesizers, etc. are all possibilities. If anyone knows of any situation similar to what I've described, or if you have suggestions of possibilities or places to look, please drop me a line.
