I am thinking of buying a YAMAHA PS-55 electronic keyboard. The problem is, I don't have a guitar amp to run it through. I was told by the salesman that I can run it through my stereo system with no problem, they will supply me with the proper cords. A friend of mine counters that my stereo speakers were not designed to handle the signals of the keyboard, and I might have problems, or be disappointed with the sound. Before I go out and blow money unneccesarily on a guitar amp, could someone please tell me whether or not my stereo system will be adequate for these purposes. Thanks. Jim Collymore

It depends on what kind of stereo/speakers you own! If you've got good drivers, and at least a few watts, you'll be fine. My Roland JX-3P work just fine through my stereo. -mike
