The best prices + selection for CD's still seems to be J&R Music World in Manhattan: 12.99 for most pop and jazz, 13.99 (with frequent sales on selected labels to 12.99) for most classical (except Telarc, Chandos, and some others at 15.99 and 14.99). Denon has come in at 11.99 in some sales. In NJ, I just discovered that CRAZY EDDIE seems to have everyday prices of 12.99 pop, 13.99 classical, although the Rt. 22 store had a pretty meager selection. David Johnson, AT&T Bell Laboratories

I paid 108 Francs for CD's at FNAC in Paris. That is about $10. They have a very large selection.

Wherehouse records in LA has a very good selection of CD's, with most being $11.99. Specials are, of course, more. For example, Fresh Aire was 17.99. -- Tony Li ;-) Usc Computer Science Uucp: {sdcrdcf, randvax}!uscvax!tli Csnet: tli@usc-cse.csnet Arpa: tli@usc-ecl
