The Absolute Sound is one don't-trust-CD's Audiophile magazine. I also like the British "What Hi-fi?". They like the Meridian CD player; Meridian buys a Philips player, and puts in their own audiophile grade analog hardware.

I'd like a pointer to a good audio review magazine that concentrates on high end equipment and related topics and is (preferably) not 99% CD hype (I don't and won't own one!). The origin of the magazine isn't too important as long as it is in English, so please feel free to include British and other non-American magazines too! Thanks Dave Taylor Hewlett Packard

[] Let's see. hmmm. With your set of prejudices you wouldn't want to read The $ensible Sound. THey are the best in my experience, but while they have avoided cd's as "immature" so far, the y are clearly weakening and will soon be actually discussing equipment instead of recommending discs. I think you might like The Absolute Sound. Very high end, very elitist. -- "It's the thought, if any, that counts!" Dick Grantges hound!rfg
