I'm having a problem with my tape deck (Sony TCFX-44), and I would appreciate hearing any explanations or suggestions. The problem occurs when I try to record. Everything seems fine during the recording process, but during playback parts of the tape have a oversaturating 60 cycle hum on one chanel or the other. This sections tend to be about 10 seconds long and occur every 30 seconds or so. The problem is definitely in the recording mechanism. I've used different amplifiers and still get the problem. Using previously recorded tapes gives no problem, so only recently recorded tapes give trouble. ANy clues? Please respond by mail, I'm not on this list. Thanks. -- larry kolodney (The Devil's Advocate) UUCP: ...{ihnp4, decvax!genrad}!mit-eddie!lkk ARPA: lkk@mit-mc
