Does anyone out there have information on parts or repair of:

1966 Fisher 500C FM Receiver (Stereo)
    -or-
information on the repair of above.

The system could use a general facelift, but two output transformers
are dead. I can furnish one working model from another fisher, but I
have trouble finding parts and tubes. Any ideas...

Aaron, I don't know exactly where you could get the parts for that
specific unit, however, I can make a suggestion that you could try
the ham radio flea markets in your area. I have had very good luck
getting old and oftentime discontinued parts, tubes, manuals, etc
from those flea markets. About the bests ones that I know of
is one in Dayton, Ohio sometime in the sprint and another in
Deerfield N.H. on the Saturday before Mother's day in May.

I have been personnally at the one in Deerfield N.H. a few times
before I moved here to Seattle and found an amazaing collection of
stuff that just could not be had in any of the stores. In addition,
it is probably very easy to find other people who have the same
equipment that you do and could offer help in repair problems.

If you are in San Diego, as I can guess from the system you are on,
I think that there is a monthly flea market at the Santee Drive In
Theater on the first Saturday. Check with someone who is a radio
ham to be sure.

Good luck and I hope this can help you
