This may have already been covered in other newsgroups, but
here goes. When I bought my Technics CD player, they signed me
up in "The Compact Disk Club". No minimum, etc. So I said ok.
I got my first brochure the other day. Guess what? They're
the other half of the IPS. Same size bonus certificates, same
size monthly catalog, same return card and envelope.
The Bonus Certificates - you get 2 with each CD. Half
price CD (ala $7.95) with the return of 2 Certificates. Sounds
to me like they structured the system to eventually allow
redemption of IPS certificates. I've written them asking about
such. Their address is the same as IPS, except the IPS box ends
in 07, Disk Club ends in 14.
Could be good, I've got a bundle of old IPS certificates.
