[] I suspect the whistle-chirp is a common problem. My first one made a continuous whistling sound. I sent it back, the next one was silent. I'd call Sony and ask about it. Get it fixed within warranty, for sure. -- "It's the thought, if any, that counts!" Dick Grantges hound!rfg
