THIS IS A CALL FOR INFORMATION.
Does anyone have any information/experience with a speaker company
from Great Britain called IMF electronics. They produced a line
of speakers where the most notable were there high end products
e.g. Professional Monitor
Reference Standard Professional Monitor (RSPM) IV
The company appears to have gone under but I am really not sure what has
happened. I do not know what dealerships carried the product or what
the distribution channels were (there American office is gone) but I
would like to find out more about the company and if whether it is going to
survive in another form. I am still very interested in their products.
There British address is (was?)
Westbourne Street High Wycombe Buckinghamshire
Any information anyone has would be greatly appreciated. There might even be
some folks out there who own these speakers.

The IMF were designed by Freid. (I.M. Fried). Freid has since formed his
own company that builds Tranmission Line Loaded speakers.
It is best to contact Fried at:

They have a speaker called the Studio IV that seems quite nice.
I saw a pair of IMF IV's (My dream speaker in '78) at Stereo Wharehouse
on b'way and ~4th st. here in NYC. They wanted $1300 which is a insanely
high price (Typical of that rip-joint, its run by Wasserman of Audio
Exchange fame on 8th st).
Good luck with speaker buying.
Hedley.
ps. Take a look also at the Infinite slope's 2.?
