I don't even know of any EARPLUGS with 50 db attenuation!

Furthermore, the Sony CD5's attenuation is not 10-30 db but more like
6-10 db. In fact 20-30 db is about as much as you can get in any phone
I've ever heard of. Consult Annual product Issue of Audio Magazine
for headphone info at your local library(October issue). Look for the
listings of the "circumaural" (around the ear) type.
