Well, since I haven't been able to discover a newsgroup like
net.audio.manufacturers.investment.risk...I thought I would try this group.
Forgive me for not making a profound contribution to further the advancement
of audio purity. I just want to make a few bucks...So I can buy more audio
equipment, of course!
As some of you may be aware, our good friends at Carver are planning on going
public soon. Now, I have never owned Carver equipment before (Radio Shack and
Pioneer seem to be my forte), but I have heard rumors about how good/not good
this Carver stuff is. The problem is, I have heard people tell me that Carver
makes the best, grooviest, most whizbang audio equipment. On the other hand,
other people have told me that Carver is nothing more than a big bag of hype.
I have also heard some rather derogatory comments about Mr. Carver himself,
including from one person who worked for him.
So tell me, O audio gurus, is Carver all it's cracked up to be? Is this the
stock offering to get in on? Is it buy big or sell short? Mail me today and
let me know what you think. If I get some good responses, I will summarize to
the net so you, too, can get in on the investment opportunity of the year
(Day? Hour? Minute?).
