The following article is a summation of an editorial that appeared in an underground audiophile magazine - Stereophile. It deals with the debate over analog vs digital, and echos my personal feelings, although I never cound have written it so eloquently. It should be noted that J. Gordon Holt, the author, was totally against digital when it first came out, then when testing the first CD played (the SONY), praised it all over the pages of his magazine. He now admits that it is the worst sounding one in the lot, but now ranks the Meridian as the best. (The Mission has not been reviewed yet). Debate on, Mark Nevar P.S.
