By popular request, here is the letter to the editor of The Absolute Sound I mentioned a while ago. From [The Absolute sound], Vol. 10, #37, Spring 1985. (text in brackets e.g. [text] is in italics.) Footnotes to the letter are included. "Harry: I am compelled to write you this. In The Book--that is, the Holy Scriptures--[Revelation] says that most of the world will yield to the "numbers" (to be tatooed on the arm, forehead.) [sic] And this numerical system, bringing everyone and everything under control of the Devil, will [not] prevail against God's people. We, now, see too often this tendency: computers, "Big Brother", and so forth. The Devil attacks through undermining the emotions (e.g. through undermining music). The potential harm to music is enormous. It's my understanding as I write this that Digital is his big weapon. If we are God's people (we emotional people), then we muust resist it. See [Revelation] XIII, 16-17;* XIV, 9. The next most important verse, XV, 2**, says: "God's violins in their hands..." The numerical system, digits (putting harmony into numbers) is from Satan. Please see this letter as a strong argument to go to the church and ask them to take sides wth you against Digital. Call a pastor and take this letter with you when you go to see him.
