[Eat this, line eater!] Funny, no one has mentioned the problems that electronic equipment is heir to even if there isn't a SINGLE moving part! What about heat damage? (especially if the components are high-heat-dissapating power transistors and the like)? What about oxidation of exposed metal surfaces (like connector leads)? Or cold solder joints? Leaky capacitors? Components induced to physically vibrate at the frequency of whatever is flowing through them? (This one's seen most often in parts that are exposed to 60Hz, as in the power supply) Incandescent bulbs that are SOLDERED in place?
