A while ago I posted an article explaining troubles with my Magnacrock 2020SL CD player. At that time, I said that I was about to take it to the NA Phillips repair depot. After cleaning the lens, it worked OK for a while so I didn't take it in. Over the last two weeks, it got substantially worse, in a slow but sure manner, so that it was failing to servo-lock on discs more often than not, and would only lock with a VERY clean lens. Ergo, I took it into Phillips repair yesterday. The repair depot was quite polite, and said that the typical repair time was about 2 weeks, give or take a week for parts, so I'll let folks know just how it worked out about then when I get the beast back. -- TEDDY BEARS MAY BECOME EXTINCT!
