I'm looking for a complete turntable setup for less than about $600. My
primary goal is sound quality, so I'm leaning towards a fully manual
belt-drive model. However, if you know of an excellent automatic or
direct drive table, don't hesitate to recommend it. Also, please
include recommendations for tonearms and cartridges as you see fit.
I currently have a Denon DP-11F with a Signet TK3ea cartridge. They
have served me well for two years now, and they perform well for their
cost (~$200), but they are probably the weakest link in my audio chain.
Please mail your recommendations directly to me; I'll post a summary
to the net. If you can think of a turntable that's not too far outside
my range but is an outstanding value, feel free to recommend it.
