For those that asked me about Revox problems I have the following observations: 1. When a disc has many (10 or more) tracks on it, it is normal when you call up one of the two last tracks via the direct track entry system, that the digital read-out will toggle between the last two tracks for a fraction of a second until landing on the entered selection. The phenomenon is worse if the unit has been recently unplugged (the memory and the infrared remote circuitry is always powered unless the unit is unplugged). I have also found one disc that between the last two tracks (11&12) will never work consistently (i.e. press 11 get 11 or 12). This is not a player fault, rather a disc fault. Other than those items I have not found any unusual characteristics to this CD player or direct track entry on this and other players. 2. I have several friends that are Revox dealers and they have found that some of the early Revox units had defective memories that caused other programming ailments. If you find such a problem, call Revox in Nashville and ask for service, they are very helpfull. David S. Mohler AT&T -ISL @ Denver !drune!mohler
