My cousin wishes to onw either a SONY 302 or 520 (ES?) CD player. He would like to here some comments from those who currently own either player. Also is ther a good cheap source for these players? We have been told in this area, (Chicago) that the 520 is a non-discounted item. Any U.S. will be okay, fast delivery is a must. Any U.S. will be okay, fast delivery > is a must. > The 520ES is available through Audio Unlimited 1203 1/2 Adams Ave. La Grande, OR 97850 503 963 5731 M-TH 10-6 F 10-3 For around $100 under retail, about $500. Its cousin, the 302, is available for about $400. The 302 is available through several other mail order outlets for about the same price. If you want fast delivery, forget it. Sony, as usual, had a limited first shipment and is slow in manufacturing their new line. They did not expect or at least let on that they did not expect the remarkably positive response to these players. Every place in the country has a waiting list of up to 3 months (My friend has quotes from 10+ mail order firms to this effect). I have ordered a 520ES and expect at least 2 months wait from Audio Unlimited. If you want a player NOW I suggest you try and find a 302 at a retail store and play full price for it. The dealers know they've a hot item on their hands and won't budge an inch on price.
