[*] I will be buying a CD very shortly and would like to ask of anyone's experience with the Carver, and Sony's top and middle of the line units (I can't recall the model numbers right now). Does the sonic hologram stuff that the Carver does still help? That is, have the engineers who make cd's learned how to remove the harshness and improve the spatial resolution? I've seen refs on the net to 2X oversampling, etc. Could someone please help me with this one? I was under the impression that sampling was done while going form A --> D, not the other way 'round. I am assuming, of course, that all cd's are of the same format.
