I have just returned my second portable Sony D-5 CD player to be serviced. The first one was only flaky immediately, and was replaced by a new one (after 2 months in the shop). The second died on me suddenly after four months of good service; the disk doesn't even spin and the laser appears to be stuck in the wrong initial position. I would like to hear from others to know if I'm the only one to receive lemons or if there are other unhappy owners. Please send me a description of your problem and I'll summarize if it's requested.
