I have apparently ruffled ANDY's feathers again - I actually was careful of my wording to avoid this! I state in my article that we could all benefit by more testing on what (if anything) makes an audible difference in CD players! By that statement, I infer that I DON'T KNOW EVERYTHING! But then I'm not the NETTER that replies to nearly every posting on CD players. I did (and do) claim to know more about digital (and analog) filtration than he does - this apparently set him off - again. I wonder if he even thought about any of the new topics and tests I proposed? I have proposed that the argument on sound is getting useless with several opinions having been stated with no resolution in sight. I then propose that if we knew more we might all benefit, and state that the pro's and con's of filtration type (which are well documented - even SONY has jumped on the digital filter bandwagon and did the other companies one better by suppressing beat frequencies). I wonder why ANDY replied in such a manner as he chose - what is your problem? Reply any way you choose, and tell us why you would rather flame at people than go on to new subjects and try to learn something! I even go so far as to state that if you disagree with what I and others believe are facts on filtration, that price and construction are an issue! I infer both by previous postings that you disagree with my view of filtration. If this is the case please enlighten SONY & PHILIPS so they can benefit from your wisdom! David S.
