A request was posted for a technical reference, here is one I know of: Philips Technical Review Vol 40, 1982, No. 6 pp 150-179 Page 177 figure 5 in the above reference should answer all questions about ripple in real world digital filters for CD players. "Subtle is the Lord" P.S. Does anyone know about the availability of the Sony 520-ES. I've had one on order for 2 months now? Also, I got a quote for $500 for this machine has anyone found a lower price?
