(Heavy sigh) Mr. E, Please check your premises again. First, you still err on several important technical details. Second, your interpolation filter isn't good enough to make any difference. If you implement a long enough interpolation filter to do any good, you will find yourself into the .8MIP (including multiplies) range for a CD. (Assuming an effective implementation rather than a direct implementation.) Third, my hostile tone simply mimics yours. You posted an article with many (either innacuracies or misleading simplifications) as a reply to one of mine, and accused me of misleading the newsgroup (not like they follow ME, for sure).
