I was finally, after two days of trying, able to get through to the Sony consumer number, 800-222-7669. I was told that a combined audio/disk drive compact disk player was planned, but they did not have any other information. I also found out that the only unit with digital output is the CDP-650ESD. The CDP-650ESD is reviewed in the July issue of Audio magazine. The person answering the Sony phone did not know of any compatibilities between the 650ESD and any pc.
