Anyone interested in playing chess via amateur radio ? Propagation isn't so hot these days, but 80 meters seems pretty reliable in the evenings, at least for the West Coast. I'm located in Sherwood, OR (20 miles south of Portland) operating at 100 watts with a multiband vertical. The vertical has a rather narrow freq. response, especially on 80 (3850 is the current minimum SWR). It seems like a good way to combine two hobbies. NI7M Bruce Cheney
