I was in my local record store yesterday and picked up a copy of Chronicle by Creedence Clearwater Revival. I was pleased to see that the record companies are finally taking advantage of the extended play time of the CD. Chronicle runs over 68 minutes in length (and is usually supplied on 2 LPs), but was packaged and priced as a single CD. The problem is: I opened the package, and there, displayed in big black letters is the code "DDD". Clearly this is an error, multitrack digital recording was not too popular in the mid 60s to early 70s when the tracks on this record were set down. Isn't there a law against such blatent mislabeling? Ben Broder ..ihnp4!princeton!moncol!ben ..vax135!petsd!moncol!ben
