OK. Help me figure this one out. I am a relative audio novice, so any replies please refrain from any elevated audio language. Here's my question. I have a stereo receiver, with two speakers connected (traditional A, B) These speakers are in the same room (The two lefts on one side and the two rights on the other) but that has nothing to do with my question. I also have a little black and white TV which has a earphone jack for private listening. I have connected the TV sound to ONE of the LEFT speakers so the TV sound will be better. Whenever I turn on the TV, the sound comes out of one of the left speakers, as it should. But, here's the strange part. Even if the receiver's off, but if the OTHER pair of speakers are on (i.e. button pushed in), the sound from the TV comes out of the OTHER LEFT SPEAKER, TOO! Remember, the TV is connected DIRECTLY to the first speaker (speaker A) but when speaker B is turned on over on the receiver, the TV sound is heard on that speaker too. Does speaker A, since it has wires coming from both sources, send the TV back to the receiver, which is off, and then send it back to the other speaker (B)? This has boggled my mind. I'll take personal mail, or if you think this is interesting enough for the net to hear the answer, I don't care.
