[net.audio] CD carboard sleeves - YUCK !

bal@drutx.UUCP (LesebergB) (10/18/85)

I recently bought a CD of Prince's new release
and it came in a cardboard sleeve.

Does anyone know where I can buy a plastic shell
case like those that most CD's are sold in?
The cardboard sleeve won't even fit in the CD
		cabinet I bought.

		Thanks in advance !!

                             All Disc Music
                             41 Munroe Turnpike
                             Trumbull CT 06611
                             (800) ALL DISC

As I recall, they were $1.00 each, and are the "12-finger variety". For
those of you in the greater Denver area, empty cases are also stocked ($1.00
each) by JB&H records at Union&Almeda and Wadsworth&17th. I don't listen to
Prince, but empty cases are good to have around for:
  * splitting up double cases (my storage rack only takes singles)
  * replacing broken cases obtained with used CDs
  * replacing "8-finger" cases, which I find less convenient to use

Why don't you take it back and ask for a standard case or your
money back? That would help build up the right ideas in the minds of
the dealers, and so back to the manufacturers. This is an idea we,
who buy most of the damn things, should stamp out in its infancy.
