I recently had a chance to audition the Duntech PCL-3 and PCL-5 speakers. Both are small (about 2 x 2 feet by 4" thick) wall speakers that attach to you wall via molly bolts. It is hard to believe the sound that came out of these boxes! I am very used to live chamber music and these speakers come closer to what my ears consider the truth than anything else I've heard (that ranges from Acoustat 8s with subwoofers tohigh end KEF and B&W units)! The smaller unit (the PCL-3s) lack a little bass which you could pick up by going with the 5s or by going with some sort of subwoofer. The price on the 3s isn't too bad -- about $850. My major problem with these speakers is that they must be bolted to a wall and I'm living in an apt. Does anyone know if the speakers sound as good if mounted to reasonably large pieces of hardwood? I would appreciate hearing from anyone who owns either of these speakers. Steve Crandall ihnp4!mhuxt!evans
