I need some recommendations for a 680nn "play" board, to dedicate to a single program, to be controlled through a serial port. What I need specifically is as follows: 680nn chip running reasonably fast (>= Mac) 128k or greater memory one or two serial port(s) I do not need memory management, disk controllers, or any other bells and whistles. All I want to do is to dedicate it to running a single program, and use my PRO/350 to load the program through the serial port, feed the input, and wait for output. Faster the board, better it is. What I need is something like the board build @ Vanderbilt University for teaching (BYTE), except hopefully faster, with a lot more memory. All recommendations, contact addresses, opinions etc. would be much appreciated. [Please do not recommend any NS32.... boards. I am *not* interested.] thnx.... In regard to Oz's request for recommendations for a 680xx system, you might think about picking up a Sinclair QL. I expect that these are going fairly cheaply now that the machine is defunct. You could call Gladstone Electronics on Avenue Rd. and see if they have any left. Sigh... they ran out. Since I have not heard any other suggestions, I presume that noone around UofT or Waterloo has anything, or heard anything.
