[ont.general] Help needed from baseball umpires

I am in the need of the judicial powers of a baseball umpire.  A
situation came up in a recent ball game and the applicable rule in the
Softball Canada rulebook seems to be incorrect.  Since I have a bet on
this (and am VERY curious), I would like to hear from an expert to
show (verify?) that I am correct.
