[ont.general] XView availability

david@torsqnt.UUCP (David Haynes) (10/11/89)

Thanks to brian@radio.astro.toronto.edu I now have the ALPHA release
of Xview. This is the untested and unloved source release, but if you
want to get your hands dirty, this is it. This distribution is available
to all who want it via two methods:

	1. drop a tape off
	2. uucp

If 1) then I can generate 1600 or 6250 bpi tapes (9-track) and/or
QIC-24 format cartridges (60 Mb). (Only 1 tape is needed)

If 2) then email me that you want it and I'll send you details.

For those that don't remember, I was the unofficial keeper of X software
sources while at Geac (in another lifetime) and I still keep my hand in
(to the tune of over 130 Mb of X sources not including the official
releases). If you are looking for other items, try me, but please realize
that with my current job, I am often not in the province. Please be
patient!

-david-

p.s. If anyone knows what the Serpent program does, I'd love to hear
about it. I will soon have the sources, but I'm just burning up with
curiousity.
