[net.math] .999... and infinity

In J.H. Conway's number system (see J.H. Conway, "On Numbers  and
Games",  Academic Press), it is possible to add 1 to infinity (or
add 1 to the "end").  More  precisely,  if  omega  is  the  first
infinite  ordinal  (cardinal?),  then  omega+1 is a number and is
well defined. It is "born" the day after omega was born.  May  be
we have been using the wrong number system all this time!
