Would someone please post the dates and locations of any upcoming USENIX conferences that have been scheduled, even if some of the info is just tentative? It would help those of us who have to make up travel budgets a year or so in advance if we had *any* info, even if it has to be changed later. Also, if you know of any other UNIX-related conferences, no matter what you think of them (:-), post their dates & locations. Thanks much! Winter '86: Denver, Colo. This will not be a conference as we are used to it -- it is instead three workshop-oriented technical sessions in the topic areas: * UNIX and Window Systems * UNIX on Big Iron * UNIX and Ada (January 15-17, 1986) Summer '86: Atlanta, Ga. (In June!?!?!?) Last I heard, this one doesn't have a sponsor yet. (June 9-13, 1986) According to the May 1985 ;login:, future conferences are Winter, 1987: San Diego or Anaheim (I vote for SD) June 8-12, 1987: Phoenix Winter, 1988: Not Scheduled Summer, 1988: Philadelphia? Summer, 1989: SF? -- =Spencer ({ihnp4,decvax}!utah-cs!thomas, thomas@utah-cs.ARPA)

There will be a meeting of the Australian Unix Users Group (AUUG) in Brisbane (Queensland) on the 27th and 28th of August 1985. You can mail to Tim Roper (seismo!munnari!uqcspe.oz!timr) for more information. Have a really different experience with the world's most friendly UNIX user community... The beer is ok, and you're only a few hundred kilometres from the tropics and the Great Barrier Reef.
