The moral is: be a member and pay in advance!
Students To verify student status you MUST enclose a copy
of the valid 1985 Student Identity Card with
the registration form. Some student scolarships
are available: for details and application forms
apply to the EUUG at the address above.
Included in the For full day tutorials and Conference
registration fee participants: Admission to the session(s)
covered by the fee, coffee breaks, lunches, all
printed matter for the sessions. Free admission
to Tivoli Gardens on September 11th and 12th.
A bus pass for free transportation with public
transports in Copenhagen.
Social events On Wednesday, September 11th, there will be
an evening programme which is included in the
registration fee - more information will
follow in the final programme.
On Thursday, September 12th, there will be
a conference dinner in the Tivoli Gardens
at a price of DKK 425,-/ GBP 30 including
wines and coffee.
Please sign up on the registration form.
Cancellation No refunds will be possible in case of
cancellation.
Cancellation of hotel reservations and refund
of hotel deposits are only possible if the
Conference Bureau can re-let the rooms.
All cancellations must be in writing.
Accomodation Hotel rooms will as far as possible be booked
in the price category indicated by the
participant on the reverse side of the
Registration form. Please observe that hotel
rooms will be booked ONLY if the deposit
(DKK 700,-) has been received by the Conference
Bureau. The hotel deposit will be deducted
from your hotel bill when you check out.
There are four categories,
Prices are in DKK (approx. GBP) pr night:

C 175-525 (12-40)
D 165 (12)
These are prizes when booked through the
Conference Bureau. Please note that rooms might
be VERY HARD to find in Copenhagen if you do
not book through the Conference Bureau.
Category A and B and some in C are with private
bath or shower.
The prices include service, tax and in some
hotels breakfast.
If you wish to stay at a Youth Hostel, you
must book a bed by yourself.

receives advance bookings, and you are strongly
adviced to make one. The price for one night
is at present DKK 36,- (approx. GBP 2.50) if you
bring a Youth Hostel Card and your own linnen.
Climate September is a difficult month to forcast in
and clothes Denmark. We may have a very beautiful Indian
Summer, but occasionally it rains so you are
well advised to bring a light coat - and an
umbrella just in case.
Dress will be informal on all occations.
Final Registration Participants must register at the Conference
Bureau upon their arrival in Copenhagen (see
opening hours above). Please note that the
Conference bureau is open for final registration
all day from 08.00 hours Tuesday, September 10th
and in the morning Wednesday, September 11th
between 08.00 and 09.15.
In order to save waiting-time we recommend that
you register on Tuesday, September 10th.
Languages English is the official language of the EUUG
event. No interpretation will be provided.
Liability and Neither EUUG nor DIS CONGRESS SERVICE will
insurances assume any responsibility whatsoever for damage
to property or injury to persons during the
EUUG Autumn Conference. We recommend
participants to arrange for their own personal
travel and health insurances.
Lunceons Luncheons are included in the fee for the
conference and the Tutorials lasting a day.
There is no luncheons included on the Tuesday
for non-full-day-tutorial-participants.
Tivoli Gardens A special ticket which you will find in
your personal folder upon registering gives
you free admission to the Tivoli Gardens on
Wednesday September 11th and Thursday September
12th.
Transportation The distance from the Copenhagen Kastrup Airport
to the City Center is about 10 km. Bus
transportation from the airport to the Air
Terminal at the Central Station is available
every 15 minutes at a price of DKK 18,- per
person. If you are staying at the Hotel
Scandinavia please tell the SAS bus-driver
when boarding the bus; he will then let you
off there directly.
For your information, public bus number 46
goes to the Bella Center every 20 minutes
from Vesterport S-train Station and the Central
Railway Station.
If you plan to go directly from the Airport
to register at the Bella Center, we suggest

I assume that EUUG stands for something like "European Unix Users Group"; if so then don't even bother to mail me and verify this. I find it strange that the acronym was never expanded in any of the postings that I've seen so far..... My second question is: what is the going (or close to it) exchange rate between US$ and DKK?
