The way to cheat to get into the endgame is this: say: incant, word The game will reply with something like: incant, "word some-string" Then say: incant, word some-string and poof! You're in the endgame. This really does not help you much though, as you do have to answer three questions (granted, easy ones, but impossible for someone who has not experienced them personally!) to get far in the endgame. As for the egg, I have never heard of a way to get it open without the thief's aid. I do not think there is a way aside from that.
