Some time ago, the following riddle was posted
to the net (in net.jokes) :
What is the beginning of eternity,
The end of time and space,
The beginning of every end,
And the end of every race?
The answer, of course, is "e".
I am looking for more riddles of this type. I am
*not* interested in any riddle to which the answer
is something like "Superturnip", "So they can hide in
the asparagus", or "Eight cement-mixers in a row-boat".
If anyone knows any more riddles for which the
answer (humorous or not) depends in some logical way on
the clue (in verse or not), or if anyone knows of a pub-
lished collection of such, I would very greatly appreciate
responses through the mail.

P.S. Another example is the "well-known" Zork riddle
Tall as a house
Round as a cup
All the king's horses
Can't draw it up.
The riddle scene in "The Hobbit" also contains several
of these.
