[net.games] acronym equations

jjm (11/20/82)

	Has anyone out there seen "acronym equations" such as:

	9 = P. in the S. S.

	(9 planets in the solar system)

	If there is any interest in these puzzles, I am willing
	to collect them and post the complete list to the net.
	REPLY TO ME BY MAIL! I will post the list in about one
	or two weeks.

	Here's a few to keep you guessing until then...

	31 = F. of I. C. (at B. R.)

	32 = D. F. at which W. B.

	3 = B. M. (S. H. T. R.)

sorry, but 32 is *not* D. F. at which W. B.
32 = D. F. at which W. F.
212 = D. F. at which W. B.

Strange how this net works. I posted a list of 25 of these 'acronym
equations' to net.nlang about a week ago, and here today is a request
for the list. answer... see net.nlang.

	Several people spotted my (intentional) mistake in my
	recent attempt to generate interest in acronym equations.

	However, only one person offerred any new equations....
	and several flamed me for expressing my interest in these
	puzzles.

	Therefore, no further listing of these items will be
	posted by me.

OK, nobody came up with any answers for
	7 = V. of S.
so here's two:
	Voyages of Sinbad
	Veils of Salome

	7 = V of S

	V = version
	S = system
