There's a bug in the version of mille that we have. It doesn't correctly score Coupe Fourre's for me (although it does for itself, the cheating &&**(*%). I tried a quick perusal through the code but gave up. Anyone have a fix for this? aron shtull-trauring harpo!seismo!presby!aron

Which version of "mille" do you have? It turns out that the binary of "mille" that comes with 4.1BSD did NOT come from the source that comes with 4.1BSD. Since I am a firm believer in source to games (how else will I get them to run on other machines), I recompiled the source into the binary. One bug which I fixed is that the "o" command (toggling between ordering and not ordering your hand) did NOT update the command menu - easy to fix. Another is that it does not do wraparound properly when displaying the name of a long savefile. Trivial bugs, but they may indicate that more serious differences exist. We have not seen the Coup Fourre bug here. If Ken Arnold is out there (I've seen his name on some articles), could he shed some light on this subject? P.S. Also, the makefile for "mille" refers to some strange private version of "curses".

If you have been doing this and still not getting Coup Forre's scored, let me know Ken Arnold arnold@Berkeley ucbvax!arnold P.S. About the source, I ain't responsible. I'll try and see if that can be cleaned up for 4.2, thoogh.
