[net.games] What kind of vocabulary is needed to play Adventure?

I have been trying to play adventure, and have done so with
very little excitement. Every time something interesting occurs
I can never find the correct words to do what I wish. I try
every synonym I acn think of, but usually to no avail. I
was wondering if anyone has compiled a useful dictionary of
verbs used in adventure, or if someone has a working rationale
to follow when trying to accomplish an action. I would 
appreciate a response.

   While you're out of adventure open a saved game.   I did this a while back
and got a number of hints and a large adventure vocabulary while I was at it.
