I am currently playing adventure and I am now facing this " fierce green snake". I have the axe that a dwarf threw at me but I have yet to discover a method to get rid of the snake. I have tried swing, chop, kill, etc... but nothing works. I even fed the little bird to the snake with no results. I have the black rod also. Can someone tell me how to get past the snake?

People who send out specific solutions to problems in {Adventure, Zork,
Haunt...} over the net are scum. Have you ever considered that there might
be people who dont *want* the answer? Once you know it, you know it.
On a related topic, I wouldn't mind a little inspiration in Haunt as
to how to manage to spend the entire night in the house without going
insane. I have what I believe to be the item(s) I need but I haven't
been able to convince the program to let me do what I believe is the right
thing with it/them. Any hints out there? I DON'T want to be told the
answer! Please respond via mail and not on the newsgroup.
