Sorry my first version of this was garbaged. We are having trouble
with posting news.

The MIT Strategic Games Society will run its 10th summer
convention August 12-14, 1983. It will be run at the MIT
Student Center, Cambridge, MA. Events include miniatures
('Ancient' games, Armor, Sailing Ships, Napoleonics, etc), boardgames
(1829, our unique Duplicate Acquire tournament, Squad Leader,
etc) and Role Playing (D&D, much TRAVELLER, Western Gunfight,
CHAMPIONS, etc.)
Friday night events include micro armor, my 7 sided
"HUB" SF role playing game, Western Gunfight and D&D. 6-12PM
Sunday has Civilization, Napoleonics, Armor and much FRP from
10AM to 6PM.
Saturday has almost everything, overlapping with the
other days 10 AM to Midnight.

Registration is $7.50 at the door, $4 for one day. Less
for preregistrants and MIT Community members. Events
with prizes charge $2. Flyers at some local game stores.

PS: Yes this is real. The total lack of publicity at MIT is
due to the traditional MIT SGS attitude towards publicity.
(E.G. "Let George Do It", but he's not around anymore.)
